Congratulations to TTC Adult Ed Grads -- the 3rd Largest High School Graduating Class in Bennington County!

The Tutorial Center recently celebrated the graduation of 72 adults who earned their adult high school diploma or high school equivalency GED certificate this past year through our Adult Education and Literacy program, “Learning Works”.

This represents the third largest graduating class of all the high schools in Bennington County this year!

These students represent the wide range of learners for whom Adult Education and Literacy programs exist: young high school dropouts; single parents; laid-off workers; job seekers of all ages; foreign immigrants; employees needing a diploma to gain a raise or promotion; individuals on court probation or parole; etc.

We applaud each and every one of them for this significant accomplishment in their life, and hope to hear from them as they walk through the doors of opportunity this educational accomplishment will open. As one of this year’s graduates puts it:

“ For many years I struggled trying to make a better life for myself. I could not gain better employment because I did not have a high school diploma, or any educational skills. Earning my adult diploma is the first step to a new beginning, a brighter tomorrow filled with endless possibilities.”
